2008 Munsch a Bunch of Miles for Literacy

David Samm, Alan Ford, and Helen Samm are cycling from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Camrose, Alberta (1200km) to raise money in support of Literacy. Robert Munsch, well-known children's author, supports the program by supplying signed copies of his books, which are delivered to schools along the route. "Our goal is to raise $15,000 this year" says David Samm. "We would like to use the funds to support literacy programs for children, families and adults".

2008-09-03 - Off to Winnipeg!!

Our crew loaded up the van and headed to Winnipeg today.

Spirits are high, and David is confident that with his new bike, he will be going farther, faster and longer. If all goes well, they will be visiting Luxton school in Winnipeg Friday morning, September 5, 2008, and then starting the bike trip to Camrose.
